Keep in mind that it's been developing gradually for me. I felt bad when he was born that I didn't experience the instant transformation some had told me about. But every day gets better and the feeling grows stronger. :-)

I can't wait to meet your son and daughter, Melissa!

I guess that's why I so lovel seeing you & Izzy together (well, besides you being a great friend and him an adorable baby!) - it's obvious how much you enjoy and adore him. Makes me all sappy and hopeful that it'll be like that with my babies!

I also found Stone's Wikipedia page very interesting.

And for folks wondering about the middle name, it's a reference to Ellis Island, the gateway through which my ancestors came to America a century ago. It's an important reminder that most of us in this country came here from someplace else, some by choice and some as slaves or refugees with little other options. I hope we will keep stirring the Great American Melting Pot, even as the flavors change across the decades.

Thanks for the update! We know it's hard, but we do love the info. (And the tips, i.e. cabbage and slings.)

Izzy is so beautiful. So glad to know he's healthy and eating well.

Wishing you a continued recovery and a swift end to that pelvic pain.
